Dear Homeroom Families,

The weekly agenda has been updated for Week 10, May 26th-29th.

 

Teacher Expectations: Remember, I will be introducing new Reading content. To follow asynchronous learning protocol, recommended by DCPS, I will provide recorded instruction each week and conduct follow up with students either one-on-one or in small groups. On the Reading page, you will find my whole group and small group Zoom schedule. The meeting ID and password will remain the same.

 

Zoom Schedule: For safety and security purposes, the Zoom links have been removed from our website. Please see the email me directly if you are in need of a Zoom schedule with links.

Zoom Guidelines: In order to continue with the safety and security of this video platform, there are a few guidelines we will follow (see image below).

  1. Names - Students must use their name that is recognized by Key School attendance (first name, last name) to be easily identified
  2. Joining Zoom - Students will not be able to join before the host. I will log in at 9:25 at the earliest in order to begin promptly at 9:30.
  3. Backgrounds - As backgrounds have become a bit of a distraction, we are requesting for students to have no background. The virtual background feature has been disabled.
  4. Chat - The chat feature has been enabled for me to share Nearpod links. Students will only be able to send questions directly to me. Students must remain respectful of the speaker, that includes myself or peers.
  5. Supervision - Students must Zoom with an adult present in the room, preferably from the kitchen or living room.

These guidelines will be in place for all video conferences. Please understand that these guidelines are set to ensure that we have an efficient video conference aligning with the behavioral expectations we set in the classroom. Also, if you have not filled out the Zoom permission form, please do so. The form can be found at the bottom of the homepage. The Zoom schedule for my homeroom has been updated on the website.
